Can someone explain in detail that what is the best method (in term of
performance) to use for RAC ASM Diskgrouop configuration in the
following two ?
1. raw devices

Thanks in advance for your time and efforts.

Message: Hi Aqeel
There is no performance-benefit (that I ever heard of) in either of
them.
ASMLib (and the designated successor ASM Filter Driver, AFD) allow some
management-features, that your (or your OS administrators) need to do
manually if you use "raw" disks.
In terms of performance you can use whatever best suits your system
administration needs.

Jan

Message: RAW is being phased out of Oracle from 12c.
I note that you are 11g so I guess you could use them... but everyone
upgrades sometime.
